Welcome to the SAP Hong Kong Academy. We are happy to present to you an information pack outlining the upcoming R/3 training schedule and other information for SAP Hong Kong. The training package is aimed at customers and partners alike. By showing you key R/3 business processes, we aim to provide you with the product knowledge you require to identify the best R/3 implementation options for your company and to put these into practice. The basic concept behind our training course package is distinguished between three different types of course:

Level 1

Courses provide an overview of the R/3 environment. These courses are intentionally compact, and provide an initial understanding of R/3 applications, R/3 Basis Technology, integration concepts, SAP internet solutions, and so on. They are designed for attendance by company managers, project managers, and project teams.

Level 2

Courses introduce you to fundamental business processes that can be modeled using the R/3 System. The courses serve as an introduction to a particular specialist area, for example, procurement, production planning, and so on. Level 2 courses do not explore the complete range of functionality in a given application, but concentrate on key business processes, and on the interaction with other modules. Members of project teams design the courses for attendance, but company managers can also benefit from an in-depth look at R/3 business processes and functionality.

Level 3

Course focus on providing detailed information about individual application areas, and concentrate on R/3 customizing and function descriptions. They usually build on information covered in the corresponding level 2 courses, and are tailored to meet the requirements of project teams.

The sample data used in courses is part of International Demonstration and Education system (IDES), so you can use IDES both to prepare for the course and to consolidate what you have learnt after it. Some of the levels 2 training courses are based on a new information integration strategy (documentation, process models, and so on) and on multimedia presentation techniques.
